Reporters Without fiction, "Agnes Wójcińska
Writing is damn hard, physical work. Proof - I'm starting to write this review for the fifth time. I sigh, scheming and nohow do not see even the beginnings of "something". But my troubles with the matter of text / words are completely at the problems reporters. Because I am working on any matter that requires a cup of hot tea / coffee making facilities and free time Time, indeed chocolate bars, they work with a man. The difference needs not be discussed. So I'm writing!
Reporters Without fiction "is a great treat for lovers of Polish non-fiction. A collection of several interviews with the stars of reportage is a very interesting article about how to report "to do". Jacek Hugo - Bader, Wojciech Tochman, Vladimir Smith, Margaret Szejnert and more insightful answers questions about the workshop Agnes Wójcińskiej work as a journalist. From the book we learn, inter alia, how how reporters get their information, what it means to well-written text, and what should have come reporter. These included questions about the desirability and motivation to exercise of that how a specific job. Wojciech Tochman said
"The plethora of information about human suffering is so great that it devalues \u200b\u200bthe suffering. We see blood on TV, and nothing we do not care. We drink tea and eat dinner. So I want to write, so that the reader has lost appetite. To him it hurt, to feel fear, cold, or smell. To be soiled, porzygał, or cried in helplessness. I would like the reader, although for a moment came in the skin of the hero. To tremble, and an idea: and me like it could happen, " (s.64)
"Because the reporter should write about something that people know little or know the wrong way" (p.12)
Book of Wójcińskiej is an important text for each who is interested in the literature of fact. A compendium of knowledge about the most important reportage last decade (I myself reading this book has created a backlog list that I absolutely must read.) What's interesting - in a pub przewijało the name and of course it could not escape my attention - Kapuscinski. Different variations - different contexts. But as rightly pointed out by W. Szablowski, the youngest of the caller Wójcińskiej:
" He died [Kapuscinski] and we still have to explain world "(s.274)
book worth the attention.
postscript to (not) Reviews:
In the context of the book above, I remembered that my fascination with reportage began with the text "Now it zarymuję" Lidia Ostałowskiej of 27 December 2001. was when I was 16 years and "Large Format" called "warehouse". My fascination was so large that they cut down the pictures from this article and hung over the bed. I remember it also pointed out Paktofonika. I punks! Therefore, the first interview, which I read was this done with Ostałowska, then Tochman, then Hugo-Bader ...
In this latter context, I recommend a two-part television documentary, "Jacek Hugo-Bader correspondent of Polszy"-Absolutely!
The explanation - (not) review, it is difficult for the above fragments, patches of thought called peer review "as God commanded."
